** About Broadway Pentecostal Lodge **
Broadway Pentecostal Lodge is a licensed Intermediate Care Facility nestled in the beautiful surroundings of Vancouver's False Creek. It is a Government funded nonprofit organization sponsored and operated by the Broadway Pentecostal Care Association Board of Directors, under the regulatory guidelines of the Long Term Care Program of BC. Our staff shares the responsibility of providing a caring environment for the Residents, where the physical, psychological/social and spiritual needs are the focus of care. A comprehensive range of professions and skills represented in staff include: reception, dietary, maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, accounting, social services, pastoral care, nursing and activity departments. Board of Directors, administrative staff, and volunteers compete our team.
A variety of recreational programs are offered. Residents are invited to participate in crafts, outings, social and festive occasions and a wide range of events; bowling, pet and music therapy, discussion groups, sing-a-long hymns and special entertainment. Individual rooms are private, with a two piece en-suite. The residents are encouraged to regard their own room as their home and remain as independent as possible, caring for it with the assistance of housekeeping and maintenance staff.
The Penthouse garden and library, and the modern dining room with garden views, help make the Lodge a comfortable home. The nutritious food we server is prepared daily on our premises under the direction of a dietitian. Professional nursing staff is available around the clock. RN's and care aides provide the needed physical assistance and medical treatments. An individualized care plan is developed in conjunction with Residents and/or families. Volunteers are an integral part of our care. They provided one-on-one visits, and assist in outings, bus rides and shopping trips. The Penthouse Chapel and Activities area are used for regular Sunday, midweek services and Bible study.
