About Halifax Health Medical Center of Port Orange
** Overview **
Halifax Health Medical Center of Port Orange is an 80-bed community hospital that features a round-the-clock Emergency Department, four operating rooms and private patient rooms. The Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with a total of 20 beds. Eight of the 20 beds are designated as "Fast Track" beds for patients with minor injuries and illnesses. Highly trained emergency physicians and nurses treat most emergencies on-site.
The Hospital offers the same skilled medical staff-both primary care and specialists- available at the main Halifax Health Medical Center campus. Most of the Port Orange nursing and ancillary staff transferred from the main campus.
